The International Telecommunications Symposium (ITS) is the most important international forum on all areas of telecommunications in Latin America. ITS is organized by the Brazilian Telecommunications Society (SBrT) and is supported by the IEEE Communications Society (COMSOC). The ITS is held every four years. Six previous Symposia were:
1990, Rio de Janeiro - Brazil
1994, Rio de Janeiro - Brazil
1996, Acapulco - Mexico
1998, São Paulo - Brazil,
2002, Natal - Brazil
2006, Fortaleza - Brazil.
The next ITS will be held in Manaus, Amazonas.
